Which baby snack is better?
This post contains affiliated links. Please read my disclosure page.
Organic baby snacks can teach your baby self-feeding and improve her fine motor skills. They also melt-in baby’s mouth so they are safe to eat even with no teeth to chew. The puffs are shaped like a little ‘o’ which are easy for a baby to eat. My baby loves puff snacks and she learned feeding herself from eating puffs. However, often these puffs and teethers’ main ingredient is rice flour. Some puffs contain juice concentrate or cane sugar. Actual vegetable or fruit powder is used for flavor but at a very small amount. Therefore, I wouldn’t call puffs or teethers nutritious food for baby. These puffs and teethers should be used as a fun, little snack. Baby shouldn’t fill her stomach with these snacks too much, but eat more of nutrition-packed food.

The sprout puffs which you rated the best also have juice concentrates in them and if concentrates contain sugars why do they say they have 0 sugars on the labels? It also contains Vanilla extract that also contains sugars? So I am just confused how it can say that it has 0 sugars or how it differs from the happy baby puffs that also contain juice concentrates.
Hi Nat,
I have inquired about it to Sprout and this is what they told me.
We list all of the ingredients in order from highest to the lowest. When it is broken down per serving there is less than .5 grams per serving and that is why it is showing 0 mg. According to FDA guidelines, this would be rounded down to zero.
Hope this helps! 🙂
Which teether do you use since they all seem to have more cons them pros
Hi Erica,
Now that my baby is older, she doesn’t use a teether any more but she has used Hevea, Sophie La Girafe, Sola The Goat which are all 100% natural rubber. She loved them all.
Which teething biscuit from the above mentioned do you use. Even the snacks. All seem to have more cons then pros.
Hi Renee, I have used Sprout Organic Quinoa Puffs, Plum Organic Super Puffs, Cheerios, Plum Organics Little Yums, and Happy Baby Organic Creamies Freeze-Dried Veggie & Fruit snacks. These snacks all should be okay. I just gave my baby these snacks in small amounts at a time. Which snacks to use also depend on your baby too. My baby showed strong preference to Cheerios and Plum Organic Super Puffs so I ended up using more of these two.
